Adorable Antique

Indonesian culture as part of fashion has never lost its fame. In the form of cloth, especially ready-to-wear clothes, traditional fabrics always have their fans. For those who like traditional clothes with unique and fashionable designs, please meet Galeriku.

This UMKM provides attractive clothes made of traditional fabrics. Thanks to Dyaz Marali Gitosuhardjo, the owner who has a keen eye for selecting products. Not only batik, lurik, and weaving, Galeriku also has “lawasan”. It is named lawasan because the collection comes from oldies hand-drawn batik that was used by “granny”. With an up-cycling concept, batik cloth, which was originally a fabric, is treated into contemporary outfits, adapting to the needs of children, teenagers, and adults. These clothes usually feel comfortable to wear.

Even though the Galeriku business was down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Galeriku is now starting to get back on its feet. Galeriku expanded its line of business by creating several new brands and entering the handicraft business in the form of home decor.

Thanks to Dyaz’s persistence, Galeriku has now participated in various exhibitions abroad. In May 2022, Dyaz became a facilitator of embroidery fashion training in Turkey for MSMEs there, in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) Turkey, which received appreciation from the Turkish Government. The products that Galeriku brought to the BUMN Tong Tong Fair were batik clothing with the latest embroidery creations, men’s batik shirts, and of course unique crafts for home decor need.
